Master Peace

With a sound that seamlessly mixes indie rock, dance-punk, grime-rooted rap, and synth pop, Master Peace is a British musician on the rise. His music has drawn comparisons to notable bands such as Bloc Party and LCD Soundsystem. Master Peace, real name Peace Okezie, has already made a name for himself with collaborations with notable artists like Santigold, Wale, and The Streets.

Born in London to a Nigerian family, Okezie grew up in Morden and Surrey, where he was first inspired to become a musician after seeing Busted and McFly on television. He started his music career in a rap group before releasing his first solo single, 'The Lift', in 2018. His debut album, How to Make a Master Peace, was released in 2024 to critical acclaim, earning him the Rising Star trophy at the Ivor Novello Awards.

Master Peace's music often carries messages about tolerance and humanity, with songs like 'I Might Be Fake' and 'Home' featuring Wale. His second album, 'If I Don't Love You, Who Will?', is out now. On Saturday, 7 November 2026, Master Peace will be performing at Where Else? in Margate. Tickets are with the button beside the article.
