DORIS, a Margate dance duo, will be performing at Where Else? in Margate from Saturday, 31 October 2026, until Friday, 6 November 2026. The duo, made up of Jaw-G and Scott Humphrey, came together after each had carved out a distinct identity on the town's dance scene. Jaw-G, born in 1996, grew up around London's Park Royal Georgie parties and spent years moving from heavy rock and shoegaze bands to synths and sequencers.
Jaw-G's musical style is a fusion of acid funk, house, UK bass, dub techno, and electro, often featuring off-kilter rhythms and sci-fi musical world building. Scott Humphrey, on the other hand, hosts the Fantastic Pleasure show on Margate Radio, bringing his own unique perspective to the duo's sound. Together, they describe their sets as hypnotic and percussive, groovy and driving, with dance performances alongside.
