On Tuesday, 12 January 2027, the Quarterhouse in Folkestone will host the Neon Afterschool Spring Term 2027, a series of workshops designed for children in Years 7-11. Led by in-house practitioners Sadie Hurley and James Middleton, these workshops will explore a variety of art forms, techniques, and styles, culminating in a performance showcasing the term's work.
The Neon Afterschool programme is a great way for young people to learn new skills, develop their confidence and imagination, and have fun while doing it. With occasional guest artists specialising in spoken word, visual arts, puppetry, costume, special FX, and digital arts, participants will have the chance to try their hand at a range of creative activities.
The workshops will take place in the Quarterhouse auditorium, and tickets are available with the button beside this article. The programme runs until Tuesday, 23 March 2027, and there are also 2 free places per year group available for children claiming pupil premium, on a first come first served basis.
