A series of art workshops for children in years 5 and 6 is set to start in Folkestone, offering a range of creative activities. The workshops will explore various art forms and techniques, culminating in a performance showcasing the term's work.

Are you looking for a creative outlet for your child? The Neon Afterschool workshops, starting on Tuesday, 12 January 2027, may be the answer. These workshops, held at the Quarterhouse in Folkestone, will run until Tuesday, 23 March 2027, and are designed for children in years 5 and 6 who are interested in the visual and performing arts.
The workshops will explore a variety of art forms, techniques, and styles, with a theme agreed upon by the group. Led by in-house practitioners Sadie Hurley and James Middleton, the workshops will also feature guest artists specializing in spoken word, visual arts, puppetry, and other disciplines. This will give participants the opportunity to learn new skills, develop their confidence and imagination, and have fun.

The workshops are open to all, and there are also two free places available per year group for children claiming pupil premium, on a first-come, first-served basis.
