Babeslam Hits Margate

At Where Else? in Margate, an evening of poetry, performance, and comedy awaits, as ELZ presents Babeslam, an open mic event with a competitive edge. The theme for this month's event is 'It's all coming back to me now!', and performers will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in front of an audience who will ultimately decide the winner. Each performance will be scored by three random members of the audience, and the highest score will win.

The event will be headlined by Death Star Laser Eye Surgery, a previous winner of Babeslam, who will set the tone for the evening. However, the focus of the event is on providing a platform for new voices, first-time performers, and those who are looking to get back into performing. The organisers encourage anyone who is interested to sign up for a slot, regardless of their level of experience.

The poetry slam format of the event adds an extra layer of excitement, as performers will be competing against each other for the top spot. The winner of the event will not only receive the accolades of the audience but will also have the opportunity to headline the next Babeslam event. This provides a great incentive for performers to push themselves and deliver their best material.
