Big Woes, a two-piece band from Margate, will be headlining at Where Else? in Margate on Friday, 6 November 2026, with support acts Sheepish, an upbeat post-punk band, and ELZ, a Margate-based multidisciplinary artist and comedian. The duo, made up of Kit Proudfoot and Joe Farley, describe themselves as a 'two-piece softcore punk band', with Farley's bass-heavy, lo-fi electronic backing sitting under Proudfoot's spoken-word pieces.
Their music is a unique blend of post-punk and poetry, with comparisons drawn to John Cooper Clarke, The Fall, and Sleaford Mods. Big Woes have released two EPs, Heavy Work and its follow-up, produced by Mike Lindsay of Tunng, and have been part of Margate's close-knit live scene, playing shows as the house band for a comedy night and supporting acts like Look Mum No Computer.
The gig will feature a mix of indie rock, electro, and alternative music, with Scott DJing to keep the energy high. Tickets are with the button beside the article. With their eclectic sound and energetic live performances, Big Woes are sure to deliver an exciting show, showcasing the best of Margate's music scene.
