Blissful Chaos
Noël Coward's classic comedy Hay Fever is coming to the Theatre Royal Brighton, starring Christine Baranski and Richard E. Grant. This stinging new production is set to bring chaos and laughter to the stage.

As the curtain rises, audiences will be introduced to the flamboyantly self-absorbed Bliss family, a household of artists living in the countryside, where a weekend of chaos and hilarity ensues. The family's inability to compromise and their self-involvement create a perfect storm of awkward encounters and witty put-downs.
At the centre of the chaos is Judith Bliss, played by Christine Baranski, who has invited a young fan to stay for the weekend, seeking the applause she misses from her life on stage. However, unbeknownst to her, each of the Bliss family members has also invited their own guest, setting the stage for a series of awkward and humorous interactions.
Directed by Emily Burns, this production brings together a talented cast, including Richard E. Grant, to bring Noël Coward's classic comedy to life. Hay Fever will run from Friday, 30 October 2026 to Saturday, 12 December 2026 at the Theatre Royal Brighton in Brighton. Tickets and details are available with the button beside this article.
