Dark Tales Unleashed
Viktor Wynd brings his unique brand of dark storytelling to Folkestone, drawing on his new book Dark Fairy Tales. This event is part of the Folkestone Book Festival, a celebration of stories and ideas by the sea.

Viktor Wynd's fascination with the strange and unknown has been a lifelong passion, driving him to create the legendary Last Tuesday Society and the Viktor Wynd Museum of Curiosities. His new book, Dark Fairy Tales, is a testament to this obsession, delving into the darker corners of human imagination and folklore.
On Tuesday, 17 November 2026, Wynd will bring his unique brand of storytelling to the Quarterhouse in Folkestone, as part of the Folkestone Book Festival. This event promises an hour of wicked enchantments, grotesque transformations, and deliciously dark storytelling, drawing on the tales that lurk beneath the sanitised versions we think we know.
The Folkestone Book Festival, curated by novelist Sophie Haydock, is a two-week celebration of stories, ideas, and conversation by the sea, featuring over 60 events and welcoming world-class writers and thinkers to the town. To experience Viktor Wynd's dark and transgressive storytelling, tickets are with the button beside the article, and the festival also offers a £5 Cost of Living Ticket for every event, available with no questions asked.
