Totally nails the feel of a movie you randomly found on the shelf at the video store without some bullshit 80s needle drops as it’s present day. Tight 90 minutes that leaves a lot of threads hanging as it just kind of ends but that also totally fits with the vibe it’s going for

I haven't seen the trailer but I'm sure it has all the action on it. Let me clarify. The movie is a great tribute to 80s 90s banger movies about super soldiers with an awesome soundtrack, really the music made the whole movie and the director did an amazing job on the scenes. The problem is that it never delivers. it just ends. 90 minutes, 80 minutes is the built up. nevertheless this is when you were going to the video club and picking a random…

I know the reviews were mixed, but I personally had a blast with this. *Onslaught* is over-the-top, campy, violent and funny, while taking itself just seriously enough to keep everything together. The opening was especially good. I had no idea what was happening, and instead of dumping a ton of exposition on me, the movie trusted me to figure things out. Good dialogue, great pacing, terrific music and some beautifully stylized shots. The story…

Disappointing! The premise was interesting and the introduction of each super soldier was good. Plus it had Adria Arjona but gave her little action time. That's Wonder Woman, man! I would have love to see her kick ass! Her character was all for it but we got nothing except for that chainsaw sequence. MEH!

There’s a quote from The Simpsons where Homer says something like it’s proven rock music reached perfection in 1973. This flick made me remember that, when I thought of Planet Terror.

Super soldier / grindhouse / slasher peppered with sexploitation, mad nazis, and 90s cliches. Must watch if you are a fan of the genre.

The Guest had plenty of nods to John Carpenter. Onslaught feels like a full-blown tribute, with a particularly heavy dose of Assault on Precinct 13. Set in the same universe, it takes some of the ideas sitting in the background of The Guest and pushes them much further into action-horror territory. It also does something quite clever with its influences. Rather than simply copying an 80s action thriller, it feels more like how you remember…
