Folkestone Family Workshop

What sparks your child's creativity and imagination? On Saturday, 31 October 2026, at the Quarterhouse in Folkestone, a special workshop awaits, where children can unleash their artistic side and become part of a beloved story.

• Children will create their own spooky musical instruments using recycled and everyday materials, guided by composer and musician Joe Donaldson. • The workshop will explore the magical world of sound, discovering how composers use melodies, sound effects, and rhythms to tell stories. • Together, participants will perform a live musical soundtrack to accompany a reading of the classic children's book, 'Room on the Broom', bringing the story to life in a unique and interactive way.

This interactive workshop is a great chance for children to develop their creativity, imagination, and musical skills, all while having fun and becoming part of a classic tale. Tickets and details for the Drop-in Family Workshop are available with the button beside this article.
