On Sunday, 1 November 2026, the Sea Scrub Sauna will open its doors at Folkestone Harbour Arm, Folkestone, and will remain open until Monday, 30 November 2026.
What can visitors expect to find at Sea Scrub Sauna? The spa features two communal wood-fired saunas, a pair of large plunge pools, a jacuzzi, outdoor showers and bucket-pulls, a fire pit, and a cafe. The Sea Folk Café offers a range of food and beverages, including coffee, iced drinks, and soft drinks, as well as beers, wines, and ciders, and visitors can choose to sit in and unwind or grab a quick pick-up as they stroll along the boardwalk.
Who is behind this unique concept? Robin, the co-founder of Sea Scrub Sauna, has a background in marine biology and a passion for cold-water swimming, which led him to combine it with sauna. He has also spent 20 years in marketing and content agencies, and volunteers with the Whitstable lifeboat.
