ZEST Bright Shadow Dementia Workshop
3 Nov 2026 – 29 Jun 2027
Whitstable Umbrella Community Support centre
Born out of a passion to enable people living with dementia to live well and thrive, Bright Shadow has been delivering its flagship Zest groups since 2009. The organisation's founder had a vision to create a space where people with dementia and their supporters could come together and engage in high-quality art, regardless of their creative experience.
At the ZEST Bright Shadow Dementia Workshop, participants will have the opportunity to sing, get moving, share stories, and laughter, all while being guided by professional artists. The sessions are designed to be tailored to the interests and needs of those taking part, ensuring that everyone feels included and valued. With a suggested donation of £5 per session, the workshops are accessible to all, and supporters are equally welcome to join in.
The workshop will take place on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, at the Whitstable Umbrella Community Support centre in Whitstable, and will run until Wednesday, 30 June 2027. Tickets are available with the button beside this article. Bright Shadow's approach has been praised for its creative equality and focus on growth, rather than loss, and has been shown to have a positive impact on the wellbeing of participants. By joining the ZEST Bright Shadow Dementia Workshop, participants can expect a stimulating and supportive environment that fosters social connection and artistic expression.
