Theatre Workshop for Adults Starts

The Theatre Workshop for Adults is a friendly drop-in class that starts on Friday, 30 October 2026, at the Whitstable Umbrella Community Support centre in Whitstable. Each class will include a warm-up, theatre exercises, and work on various aspects of theatre, such as voice, movement, scripted scenes, and improvisation.

Led by Emma Dewhurst, a professional actor with a long and varied career in theatre, TV, and film, the class is designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all ages (18+). Emma has worked with notable directors, including Richard Eyre and Roger Michell, and has experience teaching acting to various groups, including animators and SEN children.

The class will run until Wednesday, 9 December 2026, and participants can join at any time. It is supported by Whitstable Umbrella Centre and operates on a "Pay What You Feel" basis, with donations appreciated.
