The event kicks off with a surprising array of activities, from a Seaside Walk with Ian Tittley of the Natural History museum to a Bee-Bomb making workshop in the Umbrella Centre garden, all designed to highlight the impact of climate change and the depletion of nature.

What can attendees expect to see and do during the week? The programme includes a day by day guide to what's on, with events such as Sand under the microscope at Whitstable Museum, a Bioblitz at Streamwalk Community Garden, and creative nature-related workshops for children and young people at the Horsebridge.

Who is behind this community collaboration? The Ct5 People’s Forum Eco Group are excited to be running the event for a second year, with many individuals, groups, and locations contributing to the programme, including international photographer Alistair Philip Wiper, who will be judging the photography competition.

When and where can people attend the event, and how can they get tickets? The event takes place from Saturday, 7 August 2027, to Wednesday, 11 August 2027, at The Horsebridge Arts Centre, Whitstable, and tickets are with the button beside the article.
