'The Forum' Live Music Venue (Tunbridge Wells)

The Cureheads originated in London in 1990, formed by Gary Clarke, who was previously the lead singer of Nosferatu. The band's name comes from an Irish slang term for anyone with the 1980s mop-haired 'Gothic' look, and they were initially called Fat Bob & The Cureheads before shortening their name in 2000.

The Cureheads are known for their meticulous recreation of The Cure's sound and visual style, with Gary Clarke's Robert Smith vocals being particularly praised for avoiding caricature. Their live shows often feature a range of Cure classics, including 'Friday I'm In Love', 'Just Like Heaven', and 'Lullaby'. The band has a impressive touring history, having played festivals such as Guilfest, the Isle of Wight Festival, and Roskilde, as well as shows in South America, the United States, and Europe.

The Cureheads will be celebrating 50 years of The Cure at The Forum in Tunbridge Wells on Saturday, 28 November 2026, with guests Siouxsie & The Budgees. The event is a standing show, with the venue opening at 7:30pm and finishing at 11:00pm, and attendees must be 16 or over, or accompanied by an adult if under 16.
