Polegate Craft Group

On Saturday, 7 November 2026, the Polegate Community Association in Polegate will host the Friday Craft Group, which will run until Saturday, 28 November 2026. The local M.S. Group, who run the social group, invite everyone to join in, bringing their own crafts to work on and share with others. Activities at the group include knitting, card making, crochet, sewing, embroidery, and jigsaws, or any other craft members wish to do.

The group is a great way for people to meet new friends and like-minded individuals who share similar interests. Towards the end of the morning, some members hold a fun quiz, adding a lighthearted and entertaining element to the proceedings. Visitors can turn up anytime between 10am and 1pm in the lounge, and a small charge covers the cost of the room. The Polegate Community Association, an independent registered charity, has been serving the local community for over 60 years and provides a welcoming space for the craft group to meet.

The association's community centre, which houses the craft group, offers a range of activities, including arts and crafts, dance and drama, health and wellbeing, hobbies, sport and fitness, and children's groups. The centre's facilities include two multi-purpose rooms, the Lounge and the Activity Room, as well as the Henry Twine Hall and two fully equipped kitchens. The Eastbourne and South Wealden MS Society is among the health and wellbeing clubs that use the centre, demonstrating the association's commitment to supporting local community groups.

The Friday Craft Group is a wonderful opportunity for people to come together, share ideas, and work on their creative projects in a supportive and social environment. With its relaxed and informal atmosphere, the group is perfect for people of all ages and skill levels. To join in, simply turn up at the Polegate Community Association in Polegate on Saturdays between 7 and 28 November 2026. Tickets are with the button beside the article.
