China Crisis Warped 2026 Tour

The album China Greatness, released in 2024, marked a new chapter in China Crisis's story, with reworked favourites and new orchestral arrangements. This set the stage for their Warped 2026 tour, which promises to showcase the band's adventurous songwriting and professional artistry. As a duo, Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon have been the constant driving force behind the band, blending classic songs with new work and humour.

China Crisis's origins date back to 1979, when Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon met at St Kevin's School for Boys in Kirkby, near Liverpool. The band's early records were shaped by Brian Eno and were politically charged, but they soon moved towards a more commercial sound. This shift was evident in their 1984 single "Wishful Thinking", which reached the UK top 10, and the 1985 album Flaunt the Imperfection, produced by Steely Dan's Walter Becker.

The band's sound is a unique blend of synth-pop, reggae, country, and other styles, with horns, strings, woodwinds, and pedal steel. Their music has been used in various films and TV series, including Gone Girl and Sex Education, and has been sampled by artists such as French Montana and Action Bronson. With a monthly listener base of around 315,000 on Spotify, China Crisis continues to push forward, creating timeless songs that shine brighter than ever.

China Crisis will be performing at The Forum Live Music Venue in Tunbridge Wells on Saturday, 7 November 2026. Tickets are on sale, with the button beside the article. The Warped 2026 tour is a celebration of the band's past, present, and future, and is set to be a testament to their enduring creativity and innovative spirit. With their warm and humorous Scouse banter, China Crisis is sure to deliver a captivating performance, blending classic songs with new work and showcasing their sophisticated yet irresistibly catchy style of pop.
