Fused Glass Workshop
1 Nov 2026 – 28 Nov 2026
The Alexander Centre (Faversham)
You'll be making your own fused glass art in this workshop, where you'll learn the techniques and skills needed to produce beautiful glass pieces. The workshop, led by Jane Padgham, will cover the basics of fused glass, including cutting, assembling, and firing. Jane, who makes handmade fused glass art and jewellery in her garden studio in Kent, fell in love with glass because of its ability to transmit, transform, and hold light through colour and texture.
The workshop is designed to be fun and teaches basic glass skills, with participants using specialist accessory fusing glass over clear glass bases. Each ticket includes enough specialist glass to make two 10cm coasters or light catchers and a small hanger or keyring, or a three-piece bunting can replace the small hangers. You'll also get to enjoy complimentary tea and coffee during the session.
The Fused Glass Workshop will take place at The Alexander Centre in Faversham on Sunday, 1 November 2026, and will run until Saturday, 28 November 2026. Tickets are with the button beside the article. With Jane's expert guidance, you'll be able to create your own unique piece of art to take home, although please note that pieces cannot be taken home on the day as they need to be fired at Jane's studio, and will be ready for collection about 14 days later by arrangement with her.
