A Thoroughly Sensible Adaption Georgia Oakley's film is a competent and handsome period piece that never fully justifies another big-screen outing for the material, but is solid enough to still be enjoyable. The direction leans heavily into a naturalistic, slightly brooding aesthetic. The cinematography is all misty landscapes, damp cottage interiors; far removed from the sunnier 1995 version as the film lingers on more practical details of…

Sense and Sensibility is a classic story of love and economic class. It's got beautiful costumes, elegant production design, and strong performances. Unfortunately, I found the central romances to be thin, maybe even a bit desperate. I'm sure fans of the book will be pleased, but I wanted less formality and more raw passion.

So they go on a journey of downsizing and searching for love as young women because they are facing a fairytale. Very much an up-and-down emotional roller coaster as they search for their true loves and get their hearts broken. It is overall a very…

I wish I could have seen the movie - it was so dark and moody that I wish I could have turned up the brightness!

It's ok. If you've seen the previous films you've seen this one. The weather girl from Twisters should have told the guy that she loved him early on and they could have cut 30 minutes from the movie. Best part of the movie was Petunia Dursley. That lady had the theater laughing almost every time she was on the screen.
