Cinema For All

Showcase Cinema de Lux Bluewater is set to offer a series of sensory friendly screenings, starting from Sunday, 1 November 2026, and running until Sunday, 13 December 2026. The cinema aims to provide a comfortable and stress-free environment for individuals with sensory sensitivities, autism, or other neurodivergent needs, along with their families and carers.

The traditional cinema experience has been adapted to keep things calm and predictable, with soft lighting, lowered film volume, and only 2D films. Additionally, there will be no trailers, and attendees are allowed to bring their own food and drink, making the visit more personal and convenient. The auditorium will also allow for free movement, enabling individuals to move about as needed.

The sensory friendly screenings will take place at Showcase Cinema de Lux Bluewater in Greenhithe. Tickets or details for these screenings can be found with the button beside this article.
