The Old Market (Hove)

Turin Brakes hail from Balham, London, formed in 1999 by childhood friends Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian. The band's lineup is completed by long-term collaborators Rob Allum and Eddie Myer.

What kind of music can we expect from Turin Brakes? Their sound has evolved over the years, from the largely acoustic debut album The Optimist LP to the darker, more electric tones of Ether Song, and even incorporating funk influences in later albums.

How have Turin Brakes achieved such enduring success? With ten studio albums, seven Top 40 singles, and over a million records sold worldwide, the band has built a loyal fanbase by continually evolving their sound while retaining the essence of what made them distinctive.

What's in store for the audience at The Old Market in Hove on Wednesday, 25 November 2026? The band will perform an acoustic set spanning their celebrated back catalogue, alongside an exclusive conversation with the audience, sharing stories and insights from across their career, and a live audience Q&A.
