Meet Gloria Jones at The Astor Theatre

Are you curious about the life and career of a music legend? Gloria Jones is visiting Deal to talk about her expansive career in music, which started when she was just a teenager. She began as a singer, performer, and recording artist, and is perhaps best known as the original singer of the iconic song 'Tainted Love'.

Gloria Jones has had a varied and successful career, becoming the Queen of Northern Soul and working at the famous Motown label. She has also written and produced music, and is now taking on a new challenge - building the Marc Bolan School of Music and Film for children in Sierra Leone. This project is in memory of her partner, and she is clearly passionate about giving back to the community.

The event at The Astor Theatre in Deal on Sunday, 29 November 2026, will feature a richly illustrated talk with photos and musical video clips, followed by a Q and A session. Tickets and details are available with the button beside this article.
