Join The Vortex Cast

The play's exploration of vanity, relationships, and substance abuse offers a complex web of characters for actors to delve into. At the helm of this production is a creative team that intends to approach the play as an allegory for sexuality, adding a rich layer of depth to the story. The characters, including Florence Lancaster, Nicky Lancaster, and Helen Saville, among others, will be brought to life by a cast of actors who can navigate the superb blend of comedy and drama throughout the play.

The production team has already held an information evening and initial auditions, but open auditions are still available for those interested in joining the cast. Rehearsals will commence at the end of September, taking place on various days throughout the week, leading up to the show dates from Wednesday, 9 December to Saturday, 12 December 2026, at the Playhouse Theatre Whitstable in Whitstable.
