Whitstable Youth Auditions

The auditions for The Canterbury Tales, a youth group production, will be held from Sunday, 1 November 2026, to Saturday, 7 November 2026, at the Playhouse Theatre Whitstable in Whitstable.

This production, directed by Lucie Nash and Gemma Conway, involves a large ensemble of characters, with each performer expected to play multiple roles and participate in group scenes. The auditions will focus on group work, script work, and character work, with no preparation needed, although those auditioning for larger parts will be required to perform a short solo storytelling monologue.

The production is an adaptation of Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, by Mike Poulton. The youth group is led by volunteers who have been DBS checked and hold chaperone licences from Kent County Council. To participate, successful auditionees must be aged 13 to 18 at the time of performance and pay the £5 Lindley Players membership. Tickets are with the button beside the article.
