Tenterden The Carpenters Experience
Maggie Nestor's incredible voice brings Karen Carpenter's songs to life in a show featuring eight top-class musicians. The Carpenters Experience is a tribute to the iconic duo's seamless harmonies and 1970s live shows.
Close to You is just one of the hits that The Carpenters Experience will perform, with Maggie Nestor's silky contralto voice capturing the essence of Karen Carpenter's unique sound. Nestor has been a fan of Karen Carpenter since childhood and began her career providing backing vocals for tribute acts, with people often commenting on the similarity between her voice and Karen's.
Maggie Nestor and her partner created The Carpenters Experience around eight years ago, and the show has since become the UK's leading Carpenters tribute. The production features a full live band, including brass and piano, to recreate the seamless harmonies of the Carpenters' 1970s live shows. With a set list that includes We've Only Just Begun, Top of the World, and Rainy Days and Mondays, the show is a must for fans of the original duo.
The Carpenters Experience will be at The Sinden, Tenterden, on Sunday, 1 November 2026. Tickets are with the button beside the article.
