Spooktacular Pirate Fun for All

Pantomime dame entertainment is a beloved genre in British theatre, with its roots in slapstick comedy and audience participation. Dame Dolly Dollop, the creation of comedian and producer Joe Meloy, has been delighting audiences with her one-person shows since 2021. With a background in children's theatre and pantomime, Meloy's character has evolved into a series of solo shows, including the popular Halloween series.

Dame Dolly's Spooktacular Pirate Show is the latest iteration of this series, with a story set on the seven seas and a villainous pirate to defeat. The show is designed for children aged 2-12 and adults who are young at heart, with a panto-style format that encourages audience participation. With a supporting cast and the return of ACEs Dance Academy, this year's show promises a supercharged experience.

The show's writer and performer, Joe Meloy, has a wealth of experience in pantomime and children's theatre, having toured his one-man shows and worked as the resident dame at the Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone. Dame Dolly's Spooktacular Pirate Show will be staged at the Sheppey Little Theatre in Sheerness on Friday, 30 October 2026. Tickets and details are available with the button beside this article.
