INTO FILM: Nouvelle Vague
25 Nov 2026
Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts (Brighton)
This exuberant drama has been created to lovingly recreate the making of one of the most influential films in cinema history. Directed by Richard Linklater, the film captures the anarchic spirit at work when director Jean-Luc Godard sets out to make Breathless in 1960. The result is a drama that explores the creative process behind a classic.
The film is a tribute to the innovative spirit of the French New Wave movement, and its influence can still be felt in cinema today. With its focus on the making of Breathless, the film offers a unique perspective on the creative process and the personalities that shaped the movement.
The screening of Nouvelle Vague will take place on Wednesday, 25 November 2026, at the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts in Brighton. Tickets or details for this event are available with the button beside this article.
