Bloc Party Bring Seventh Album
Bloc Party and Interpol are set to co-headline a tour, bringing their unique sound to Brighton. With a discography spanning over two decades, fans can expect to hear some of their most defining songs.

Bloc Party's debut album Silent Alarm, released in 2005, was a critical and commercial success, reaching number three on the UK Albums Chart and being certified platinum. This album, which included tracks like Banquet, set the tone for the band's future sound, often described as indie rock, post-punk revival, alternative dance, and art punk. With early influences such as Smashing Pumpkins and Weezer, the band's musical style has been shaped by their ability to blend different genres and create a unique sound.
The band's origins date back to 1999 when Kele Okereke and Russell Lissack met at Reading Festival and decided to start a band. After settling on the name Bloc Party in 2003, the band's line-up has undergone changes over the years, with Okereke and Lissack being the constant members. The current line-up includes drummer Louise Bartle and bassist Harry Deacon, who joined the band in 2023. With a career spanning over two decades, Bloc Party has released seven studio albums, including their latest, Anatomy of a Brief Romance, which was released in September 2026.
Bloc Party's music has been praised for its rhythmically vital and melodically sharp sound, with Pitchfork naming Silent Alarm one of the best albums of the 2000s. The band has sold over three million albums worldwide and is regarded as one of the key English bands of the 2000s post-punk revival. Their ability to create catchy and energetic songs has made them a favorite among fans, and their live performances are always highly anticipated. With a wide range of influences and a unique sound, Bloc Party is a band that continues to evolve and push the boundaries of indie rock.
The co-headline tour with Interpol will see Bloc Party performing songs from across their discography, including their latest album. Fans can expect to hear a mix of old and new songs, showcasing the band's ability to create music that is both nostalgic and innovative. On Thursday, 26 November 2026, Bloc Party and Interpol will be performing at the Brighton Centre in Brighton. Tickets are with the button beside the article.
