Noise-rock fans, rejoice! A new sound is coming to town, courtesy of SØWT, a four-piece band from Eindhoven in the Netherlands. With their mix of noisy art-rock and strong critical lyrics, they're sure to make an impact on the local music scene.

SØWT's origins are rooted in the underground collective that grew out of the squat 't Stroomhuis, which sadly burned down in late 2024. The band members, Martijn Claessens, Jesse van Eiken, Koen Verhees, and Danielle Warners, are not only musicians but also sound engineers and concert organizers, giving them a unique perspective on the music industry. Their sound is characterized by dissonant and pleasurable passages, shifting between melodic moments and heavy, abrasive riffs.

The band has released several albums, including Junkie's Boneyard, Kids Hurting Kids, and Is This the Hard Part?, which ventures into new textures while keeping their gut-wrenching songwriting and noise-rock riffs. They've also toured extensively, supporting grunge legends Mudhoney and Canadian band METZ, and have opened festivals like Misty Fields.

On Wednesday, 11 November 2026, SØWT will be performing at The Rossi Bar in Brighton, as part of the GDS x Rossi Bar Artist Investment Scheme. Tickets are with the button beside the article. With their intense sound and critical lyrics, this is a show not to be missed, and a great opportunity to experience the energy of SØWT live.
