Brighton Welcomes Wes Banderson

Indie film soundtracks, with their eclectic mix of quirky scores and obscure needle-drops, have a unique ability to transport listeners to a world of wonder and curiosity. Wes Banderson, a UK-based live project, is dedicated to bringing these soundtracks to life, with a focus on the iconic films of Wes Anderson. Created and directed by Adam Znaidi, the bassist of The Go! Team and co-founder of The Physics House Band, Wes Banderson features a talented group of multi-instrumentalists from around the world.

With their set drawing on a wide range of composers, including Mark Mothersbaugh, Alexander Desplat, and Maurice Ravel, Wes Banderson's music is a true reflection of Wes Anderson's cinematic style. From the nostalgic charm of Rushmore to the whimsical fantasy of Fantastic Mr. Fox, the band's arrangements are both faithful to the original scores and boldly inventive. Their use of live visuals and Team Zissou uniforms adds an extra layer of authenticity to their performances.
