Lewes Wicker Weaving Workshop

Marianne Angeloni-van Niekerken, a skilled basket maker from Crafty Basketry, has been practising her craft for some time, and now she is set to share her expertise with others in Lewes.
The Wicker Weaving Workshop, taking place on Sunday, 1 November 2026, at the Depot in Lewes, is a one-hour session where participants can learn the art of willow weaving. Inspired by the film Wicker, attendees will have the opportunity to create their own wicker heart to take home.
The workshop is limited to just 20 people, making it an intimate and focused learning experience. With Marianne Angeloni-van Niekerken leading the session, participants can expect to gain a good understanding of the traditional craft of willow weaving.
