People will delve into scripts, character development, and practical exploration of theatre techniques in a supportive environment with fellow performers of a similar age. The classes, which run from 11am to 1pm on Wednesdays, will work progressively over a six-week block, exploring a particular text, subject, or theatre practitioner. This structure allows participants to build on their existing acting experience and skills.

The classes are run by ACT Brighton, a drama school based at the Lantern Theatre in Brighton, which offers a range of daytime classes with no upper age limit. The Lantern Theatre is a flexible performance space that can seat up to 50 people in theatre style, providing an intimate setting for the classes. ACT Brighton is part of the Academy of Creative Training, which is dedicated to providing high-quality drama training.

The intermediate level classes are a follow-on from the beginners class and are designed to help participants build on their acting experience. With a special community rate of £9 per teaching hour, the classes are affordable and accessible. The six-week block from 4 November to 9 December will take place at the Lantern Theatre in Brighton, and tickets are on sale with the button beside this article.
