Triple Drain Otherside Release Party

The release of 'Otherside' marks a significant milestone for Triple Drain, a Brighton trio that has been making waves on the local music scene since their live debut in June 2023. With their unique sound, described as 'post-punk goth sludge', the band has drawn comparisons to influential acts such as The Slits, Kleenex, and Siouxsie and the Banshees. At the helm of the band is Eva, the Lithuanian-born vocalist and five-string bassist, whose distinctive voice and hypnotic bass lines have been praised by reviewers.

Triple Drain's journey to this point has been marked by a series of notable performances, including a sold-out show at The Hope & Ruin in Brighton, where they were handpicked by DITZ to support them alongside Van Zon. The band's live shows have been described as unpredictable and hypnotic, with nods to The Banshees and The Slits. As they prepare to release 'Otherside', fans can expect a recorded sound that is just as captivating as their live performances.

The band's sound is characterized by Eva's shifts between gothic and grungy vocals, as well as the driving rhythms provided by Bella on guitar and Rachel on drums. With influences ranging from Sonic Youth and Pixies to Witch Fever, Triple Drain's music is a unique blend of post-punk and goth elements, with a healthy dose of sludge thrown in for good measure.
