The 2026 album Wish Road South is a notable release from Hollow Hand, showcasing the project's ability to craft melodic, 60s-influenced psych-pop. As the brainchild of Brighton-based multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Max Kinghorn-Mills, Hollow Hand has been active since 2015, releasing music that blends psychedelic pop and folk-rock. Kinghorn-Mills' influences include the Clean, Violent Femmes, and Fairport Convention, which is evident in the band's Beatles-esque sound, complete with jangly country-rock and psychedelic pop epiphanies.
Hollow Hand's sound is characterised by its melodic and 1960s-influenced style, which has drawn praise from notable music publications such as Mojo, Uncut, and Shindig!. The project's 2023 album, Your Own Adventure, received acclaim and paved the way for Kinghorn-Mills to tour as the house band for Caitlin Rose and support MJ Lenderman on a sold-out European tour.
For their upcoming show at A L P H A B E T in Brighton on Friday, 30 October 2026, fans can expect to hear Hollow Hand's unique blend of psych-pop and folk-rock.
