Echo Performing Arts CIC presents a unique show blending dance, performing arts, animation, and film, showcasing the talents of its diverse community of dancers. This event is a celebration of imagination, culture, identity, and social expression.

On Sunday, 8 November 2026, Echo Performing Arts CIC will present "Come Alive" at The Old Market in Hove, a show that explores the imagination, culture, identity, and social expression of its dancers. The company, run by directors Lydia Hunt and Sarah Hamlett, has been working with neurodivergent and learning disabled dancers since 2009, providing them with classes and performance opportunities. With extensive training in working with learning disabled people, the directors have created a safe and inclusive space for their dancers to thrive.
The show will feature a blend of dance, performing arts, animation, and film in two unique halves, with the first half exploring what it means to be human from the dancers' perspective. After the interval, the cast will invite audiences into their own fantasy world, where they will share their cultural differences and storytelling traditions. This event is a celebration of the dancers' talents and a testament to the company's values of empowerment, inclusion, and community building.
Echo Performing Arts CIC has a strong track record of providing performing arts opportunities for people with learning disabilities, with projects such as The Far Far Away Musical and Jazz Hands Dance. The company's commitment to inclusion and empowerment has made a significant impact on the lives of its dancers, providing them with a sense of purpose and belonging.
