Soulful Verses

Joshua Idehen has already made a name for himself by lending his soulful verses to Mercury Prize-nominated albums by Sons of Kemet and The Comet Is Coming. His poetic solo debut track, _Don’t You Give Up On Me_, showcases his ability to craft genre-blurring soundscapes.

As a spoken word poet, magazine editor, and nu-jazz artist, Idehen has worked with notable producers such as Daedelus and LV. His poetry collection, Songbook, was published by Bad Betty in 2024 and selected as a Poetry Book Society Recommendation, demonstrating his talent as a writer.

Idehen's performance at Brighton Dome on Thursday, 5 November 2026, is part of a music bill presented by FORM, where he will headline the evening with a unique blend of poetry, live music, and visual elements. Tickets are with the button beside the article.
