Fun at Berwick Church

Are you looking for a fun and engaging activity to enjoy with your under-5s? Wriggle Room's autumn trip to Berwick Church is just the thing, with a morning of crafting, exploring, and storytelling in store. The session, which takes place on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, at Towner, Eastbourne, is designed for under-5s and their caregivers, with activities built for adult and child collaboration.

The morning will include a range of activities, including crafting, exploring the church and its grounds, a light picnic, and storytime. Participants will have the chance to learn more about the historic site and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The session will take place both indoors and outdoors, depending on the weather, and buggy users will be able to explore the grounds via the pathways. It's a great opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy the autumn scenery, so be sure to dress for potentially wet conditions and wear shoes that can get muddy.

The Wriggle Room programme is led by Ella Hempsted, a multi-disciplinary artist educator based in Brighton who works with found and collected materials to create engaging and interactive activities. The programme is part of Towner's early years programme, which aims to explore connection to the natural environment around Eastbourne and East Sussex.
