Marsolo Brings Emotive House Music

On Saturday, 28 November 2026, Marsolo will be performing at Concorde 2 in Brighton, as part of the Moody Disco's Celebrating 15 Years series. This event is a highly anticipated one, especially considering Marsolo's impressive track record in the house music scene. As the stage name of Dutch house DJ and producer Marijn van Vliet, Marsolo has been making waves with his unique sound, which is characterized by vintage, sample-based drums and warm synths.

Marsolo's origins are rooted in the Netherlands, where he was born and raised in Utrecht. He began making music at a young age, stacking drum loops on his computer as a teenager. After finishing school, he went on to study at the Herman Brood Academy, which he credits as a way into the international house scene. This early start and formal training have clearly paid off, as Marsolo has gone on to release music on several prominent labels, including Three Six Zero Recordings, You&Me, House Puff, and PIV Records.

Marsolo's music is not only technically impressive, but also emotionally resonant. He has stated that his main aim is to give people goosebumps, and his sound is often described as emotive and story-driven. This is evident in tracks like "Step By Step" and "Spaceship", which both reached Beatport number one status. His EP "Run", released in July 2026, also showcased a more emotional side to his sound, featuring vocalist O.MMY and made in collaboration with London artist KNWME.

As a performer, Marsolo is known for his solo sets, which showcase his unique sound and style. He has been supported by several prominent DJs, including Chris Stussy, East End Dubs, Folamour, and Enzo Siragusa. With his growing popularity and critically acclaimed music, it's no wonder that Marsolo has been named one of Mixmag's Top 25 Breakthrough DJs of 2025 and featured on Tomorrowland's 20 Artists of 2026 watchlist.
