Indie rock with a hint of pop sensibility is the signature sound of The Big Moon, a London-based four-piece formed in 2014 around lead singer Juliette Jackson. The band's music is characterised by big choruses, catchy melodies, and a driving rhythm section, making them a standout act in the UK indie rock scene.

The Big Moon's origins date back to 2014, when Jackson, guitarist Soph Nathan, bassist Celia Archer, and drummer Fern Ford came together to form the band. They quickly gained a reputation for their energetic live shows and catchy songwriting, signing to Fiction Records in 2016 and releasing their debut album, Love in the 4th Dimension, in 2017. The album was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize that year, cementing the band's status as one of the most exciting new acts in the UK.

The band's subsequent albums, including Walking Like We Do and Here Is Everything, have further established their reputation as a talented and innovative act. Their latest album, Forever, was released on 30 October 2026 and features ten tracks, including the lead single Gravity. The album was produced by Sam Cohen and features Fern Ford's driving drumming, which propels the songs forward. The Big Moon will be performing at the Concorde 2 in Brighton on Monday, 23 November 2026, and tickets are on sale with the button beside this article.
