The Drifters Come to Hastings

Under the Boardwalk, one of The Drifters' most iconic records, is just one of the many classic hits that the legendary group will be performing on their upcoming UK tour. With a career spanning over six decades, The Drifters have established themselves as one of the most influential and successful vocal groups of all time.

The Drifters' story began in 1953, when Atlantic Records encouraged Clyde McPhatter to form a group of his own. The group's early hits, including Money Honey, were followed by a second line-up led by Ben E. King, which produced Save the Last Dance for Me and There Goes My Baby. This lineup would go on to produce some of the group's most iconic records, including Under the Boardwalk, which became one of their best-known songs.

The Drifters will be performing at the White Rock Theatre in Hastings on Thursday, 12 November 2026. Tickets are with the button beside the article. With their unique blend of pop and R&B/soul, The Drifters' music has stood the test of time, and their live performances continue to thrill audiences to this day.
