And So I Watch You From Afar and The Most Beautiful Anthropocene by Aindreas Scholz
27 Oct 2026 – 18 Jan 2027
Royal Pavilion (Brighton)
Visitors to the Royal Pavilion in Brighton will see an island-like installation shaped by erosion, atmosphere, water, and time, featuring coastal edges, vulnerable plant life, and unstable landscapes.
• The exhibition, And So I Watch You From Afar and The Most Beautiful Anthropocene, is presented by Photoworks Festival – Un/Stable: Lands, Anxieties, Dreams. • Aindreas Scholz's work explores ecologically sustainable cameraless photography, using natural chemicals cleaned in a cyclical process in an ecological wet-room designed by the artist. • The exhibition is supported by Arts Council England and runs from Tuesday, 27 October 2026, until Monday, 18 January 2027, at the Royal Pavilion, Brighton, with tickets on sale: say tickets are with the button beside the article.
Aindreas Scholz is a German-Irish photographer, lecturer, and PhD researcher based in London, who works with cameraless and ecological photographic processes. His work has received several awards, including the 2026 Denis Roussel Award and a first prize in the Conceptual category of the 1839 Awards. This exhibition is a great opportunity to see his unique and thought-provoking work, which explores the relationship between photography, nature, and the environment.
