The Royal Pavilion in Brighton is hosting a series of informal drop-in sessions, where curators will be working in the galleries and talking to the public about their current projects. These sessions, which run from Tuesday, 27 October 2026 to Thursday, 10 December 2026, will take place across different galleries, including the Prints & Drawings Gallery, Fine Art Gallery, and Central Gallery.
Visitors can attend these sessions to learn more about the curators' work and the collections, and get an insight into the projects they are currently working on. The sessions are free with Brighton Museum admission, and members can also attend for free. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in art, history, and culture to go behind the scenes and discover the secrets and stories of the collections.
The Curator at Work series is run by Brighton & Hove Museums at Brighton Museum & Art Gallery, and has been running throughout 2026, with previous sessions focusing on topics such as African jewellery and the cataloguing of the museum's postcard collection.
