Explore Alternative Cinema at Cinelogue
Cinelogue, a film strand at Depot in Lewes, showcases cult and alternative cinema, providing a unique space for thought and discussion. The strand offers a curated selection of off-beat films, often accompanied by supplementary content.
Cinelogue originated in 2021 as a Depot-based film strand, with the goal of uncovering the best in cult and alternative cinema.
The strand is carefully curated in-house by a dedicated group of Depot staff, who select films that may have strayed from the mainstream film canon. This curation process allows Cinelogue to offer a unique perspective on cinema, highlighting off-beat and neglected gems that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Previous Cinelogue screenings have been supplemented by a range of additional content, including short films, DJ sets, and introductions from academics, filmmakers, and historians. This approach provides a rich and immersive experience for attendees, encouraging thought and discussion around the films. The Cinelogue film strand will run from Thursday, 29 October 2026, until Sunday, 20 June 2027, at the Depot in Lewes, with tickets and details available via the button beside this article.
