Rye Welcomes The Blues Cats
The Blues Cats, a blues duo, are set to perform at The Grapevine in Rye, bringing their unique sound to the town. With a repertoire that includes songs by blues legends, this is a performance not to be missed.

Blues music will be filling the air at The Grapevine in Rye, courtesy of The Blues Cats, a duo composed of Peter O'Donnell on guitar and vocals and Andy Ellis on bass.
The Blues Cats' lead singer and guitarist, Peter O'Donnell, has a long and varied musical career, having started out playing in Somerset folk clubs as a teenager. He later co-founded the folk act Tuesday, which eventually became the 1970s pop-rock band Casino. O'Donnell's passion, however, lies in blues music, and The Blues Cats is his project dedicated to this genre.
The Blues Cats' repertoire includes songs by renowned blues artists such as B.B. King, J.J. Cale, and Etta James. O'Donnell's own musical history is also noteworthy, with a UK chart run for his original song 'Crazy' and a long residency at The Ritz in London. The duo will be performing at The Grapevine in Rye on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, with performances running until Saturday, 19 December 2026.
