Funk and Soul Afterparty

Funk and soul music, with its infectious beats and rhythms, is set to take over The Printworks Hastings on Saturday, 14 August 2027, as DJ Fraggle and the Poetic Funk Crew host the Hidden Beach afterparty. DJ Fraggle, a London-based DJ, promoter, and curator, has been spinning records since the mid-1980s, and has a reputation for digging up rare grooves and deep cuts.

With a background as a dancer in the 1980s, DJ Fraggle's love for music led him to start DJing at house parties, before moving on to bars and clubs. He launched The Time Tunnel club night in the late 1990s, and founded Poetic Soul in 2001, which later evolved into Poetic Funk. His events are known for their vinyl-based sets, featuring rare cuts, deep album tracks, and forgotten gems.

DJ Fraggle's music is a unique blend of funk, soul, Afro-Brazilica, and jazz, and he has played at various festivals and venues around the world, including We Out Here, Brixton Disco Festival, and Hidden Beach. The afterparty at The Printworks Hastings, which runs from 9pm to 2am, is set to be a night to remember, with DJ Fraggle and his crew keeping the energy going long after the festival has wound down.
