Sourdough Bread Baking & Lunch with Nutrilicious — December
6 Dec 2026
Classroom on the Coast (Hastings Old Town)
Cindy, the chef and owner of Nutrilicious, has a passion for creating healthy and delicious food that brings people together. With a background in cooking and a love for natural ingredients, she has developed a unique approach to sourdough bread baking that is easy to follow and requires minimal effort. On Sunday, 6 December 2026, Cindy will be sharing her expertise with participants at the Classroom on the Coast in Hastings Old Town, where she will guide them through the process of making beautiful, naturally leavened sourdough bread.
The workshop, which runs from 10am to 2pm, is designed for anyone interested in baking with natural, wild yeast, and no prior experience is necessary. Participants will learn a no-knead method that fits easily into daily life, and will have the opportunity to see the different stages of dough fermentation and the techniques needed to build the structure of the loaf. With the use of a commercial classroom kitchen, participants will be able to bake their own loaf to take home, and while it's baking, they can enjoy a delicious hearty lunch provided by Nutrilicious.
One of the unique aspects of this workshop is the opportunity to take home not only your freshly baked loaf but also some of Cindy's organic active sourdough starter, "Winnie". This will allow participants to continue baking at home, using the skills and techniques they have learned during the workshop. Additionally, participants will receive recipe and information sheets, and will have access to follow-on support via a Facebook group or email, ensuring that they can continue to develop their sourdough baking skills.
The workshop is a great opportunity to learn a new skill, meet like-minded people, and enjoy a fun and interactive day out. With all ingredients provided, and free tea and coffee available throughout the day, participants can focus on learning and enjoying the experience.
