  Fri 1 Aug – She Plays, We Listen The Jenny Lind, Hastings She Plays, We Listen is a curated Women in Music live performance session celebrating female-led sound, stories, and creative leadership as part of the Hidden Beach Summer of Culture. The evening brings together a jazz pianist, percussionist, and vocalist, each performing individual sets that create space for focused listening and connection. Live piano, voice, and rhythm are presented as distinct expressions, each offering a different musical language and emotional tone. The session closes with a DJ set from Kim Cosmik, bringing the evening together through curated selection and shared rhythm. Rather than a traditional gig, She Plays, We Listen is designed as a listening-led experience. Short artist reflections are woven between performances, offering insight into each artist’s influences, process, and creative journey. Set within the intimate setting of The Jenny Lind, the atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and attentive — encouraging presence, respect, and connection between artists and audience. More than a performance, this is a platform for women’s voices in music, centring listening as a shared and collective experience. Open to all — no prior musical knowledge needed.
