The ARTlings Art Group

Every Tuesday afternoon, nine artists meet at Starling Studio, including Debbie Long, Nadine Tomkins, Pippa Aldridge, Corinne Nash, Andy Pickford, Kay Ramm, Anne Campbell, Lorraine Butcher and Gus Ferguson. They originally met at the old Hummingbird Studio under Bar Spurr's guidance and have continued to paint together, developing their own styles. The group works with various mediums, including watercolour, acrylics, alcohol inks and collage. They occasionally bring in a guest tutor, but mostly work independently. The ARTlings also organize outings, such as visiting the Ditchling art show and Charleston in Lewes. Each September, they showcase their work in the studio window. The studio is available for hire for similar groups.
