Surbiton High School presents Guys and Dolls

Welcome to the Hot Box and the buzz of New York nightlife as Miss Adelaide and her dazzling Hot Box Girls prepare to light up the stage with charm, flare, and sparkle.

As the music hums and the lights glow the city outside seems to pause for a moment as you melt into this warm and lively world. Although the audience remains seated, this auditorium will fuse it’s energy to this famous nightclub and the buzz of Broadway. So, sit back and let our MC guide you through this tale of gambling for a shot at love!

Surbiton High School proudly returns to The New Wimbledon Theatre with a vibrant new staging of Guys and Dolls. At the centre of this beloved musical are Sky Masterson, a smooth talking gambler, and Sarah Brown, a devoted missionary whose ideals are tested by an unexpected wager. Meanwhile Nathan Detroit attempts to keep his floating craps game alive while managing his long and complicated engagement to the ever hopeful Adelaide.

As their stories collide our production will burst with lively striking choreography, bold characters and the unforgettable melodies of Frank Loesser, including favourites such as _Luck Be a Lady_ and _Sit Down You are Rockin'_ _the Boat_. With warmth, humour and charisma this year’s show promises a joyful, explosive evening that celebrates the spirit of our community and the thrill of the energy Surbiton High School brings to our live performance.
