Silk Rhodes debuted in 2014 with “Pains”, an arresting song which both owed a debt to classic R&B and sounded like nothing else out there. The duo of vocalist, Sasha Desree, and producer, Michael Collins, released their self-titled debut album later that year, a collection of minimal, lo-fi and soulful songs that continues to find new fans twelve years later. As well as the centrepiece, “Pains”, _Silk Rhodes_ includes the glittery disco jam, “Face 2 Face”, and lo-fi stunner, “This Painted World.”
